Gio Ponti Drop Leaf Apta Table

A very rare circular drop-leaf “Apta” table designed by Gio Ponti, circa 1970. The table top swivels for the leaves to drop and is lacquered with a geometric pattern in orange and red. The ‘APTA’ series, presented as adaptable, lightweight furnishing for the Mid-Century home, was shown at EuroDomus 3 in Milan in 1970.
