Federal Style Mahogany Camelback Sofa

A camelback sofa in the Federal style, with square tapered mahogany legs, and brass nailhead trim running along the upholstered skirt.
Previously displayed at the Hammond-Harwood House Museum in Annapolis, Maryland, a 1774 William Buckland-designed landmark of American colonial architecture. Acquired in 1948 from Joseph Kindig Jr., the York, Pennsylvania dealer.
